We founded Groms Skate Coaching with one goal in mind: giving our participants the best, most rewarding creative experience. Groms Skate Coaching is located in Cairns, Australia and reflects the vibrant energy of the area and our accredited coaches. With our founder and head coach, Ryan Janda and additional coaches Greg Thomas and Brice Newton you can be sure to have an amazing experience and learn new skills! Join us today! Groms Skate Coaching holds Skateboarding Accreditation with the Australian Skateboarding Federation along with both Blue & Yellow Cards. We hold Insurances for our lessons through the Australian Skateboarding Community Initiative.

Who Are We?
Ryan janda
Ryan Janda has been Skateboarding for over 20 years, sharing his love and passion for the sport in various places along the east coast of Australia.
Using Skateboarding as an artistic and challenging platform, Ryan takes pride in assisting with the development of youth in the skateboarding industry by passing on knowledge and skills to the new generation.
It is important to Ryan to give back to a sporting community that has provided him with so much.
brice newton
Brice takes pride in giving his best self, either musically or on his skateboard. Brice’s creativity always allows those around to shine as there best selves in a supportive environment. Skateboarding from age 10 Brice has collected many stories of “tumbles and triumphs”. Brice’s story has been written from all around Australia but he now resides in Cairns to continue his chapters.
gregory thomas
Gregory Thomas has been Skateboarding for 13 years, Skating predominantly skate park and street environments. Gregory ensures he has the right equipment to tackle any obstacle. Smooth in style and life Gregory is the definition of cool.
